Breakbeats Drum and Bass Music – Suit Up

Home > Music > Beaver Street & Beyond > Suit Up

Download Suit Up on iTunes for your next motivational meeting

Sounds Like: Squarepusher

Breakbeats / IDM / drum and bass music with jazzy bass, guitar and percussion samples galore and duelling drums. This track began life as a drum loop and a bass line that led to the layering of more drums, percussion, synth lines and a little guitar.

It contains 2 main parts, one being a drum and bass styled groove that then disintegrates into another section with some strange acoustic guitar chords with Balinese percussion. The second section also features an improvised bass line to keep your ears on your toes – which can be quite a hard thing to maintain! On top of this there are some fiddly pitch shifted drum fills giving the music that IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) feel.

This track has been extensively remixed and abused for the Apell live shows and has even spawned another track Silly Cyclist which features slap bass and different interpretation of the breakbeats / drum and bass / IDM groove.
